"Take what you need" Random Acts of Kindness poster, as seen in Forest Hills, Queens, New York. 2012.
Not long after I arrived in New York, I came across this cute poster in the neighbourhood of Forest Hills, Queens.
It's been a while since I have seen or received a Random Act of Kindness (RAK) message, and it was a nostalgic moment for me.
Believe it or not when I was studying my Bachelor of Business at the University of Technology, Sydney I used the Random Acts of Kindness ideas as a key part of a PR assignment for the US Consultate. Poetic, considering I am currently in the United States and seeing gorgeous RAK messages.
So, let’s rewind the clock to 2003, where" student Tarley" is in a PR Strategies class and need to create and justify a PR campaign for a fabricated idea of our choice. My lecturer had a PR contact at the Sydney United States Consulate's Office of Public Affairs who was happy to help and it was around the 2nd anniversary of 9/11 - so my campaign seeds were planted.
